Demi Lovato is engaged! Well, kind of. We don’t know if it will work out, but we do know the wedding won’t take place for another 13 years at least. The former Disney star accepted a proposal from an adorable guy at her concert in Illinois, and she even has the ring to prove it.
After seeing a fan holding up a sign that read, “I have a ring for you,” Lovato invited her fan to the stage to learn a bit more. The fan, it turns out, is 5-year-old Grant Burt, who was celebrating his birthday with a visit to his favorite singer’s concert. When Lovato called him up to the stage, the boy realized he forgot the ring, but his parents quickly brought it to him. He then got down on one knee and asked the singer to marry him, to which she replied, “I will.”
Grant, dressed in a denim jacket and snappy red pants, caught the singer’s eye right away. “You are the cutest little boy ever!” she said to her new fiancé. After the concert was over, Lovato and Grant’s family posted about it online.
“Oh, and by the way guys…I’M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!! Grant…#CUTESTEVER #demiworldtour,” she posted to Instagram along with a photo of herself accepting a ring from the little guy. She gave the little guy a big kiss on the cheek following her acceptance of his proposal, and his parents couldn’t be any happier.
“Grant just turned 5, so we took him to see his (and our) favorite artist, Demi Lovato…yet again! She pulled him up on stage and he proposed to her! They are now happily “engaged” and we are thrilled,” Grant’s mom posted on YouTube, along with a video of her son proposing to the pop singer. Good for you Demi, your future-in-laws love you!
